Lagos Life Link Not Opening From WhatsApp? Here Is the Fix

Your friend sends you the Lagos Life link on WhatsApp. You tap it, the page starts loading, and then nothing. Or the game opens, you type your username and password, and it refuses to log you in. You try again. Same thing. Meanwhile your friend is already in Quilox waiting for you.

This is one of the most common problems new players face, and the good news is that the fix takes about five seconds. Let me show you why it happens and exactly what to do.

Why the Lagos Life link does not work inside WhatsApp

When you tap a link inside WhatsApp, Instagram, X or TikTok, the page does not always open in your normal browser. It opens in a small browser built into that app. These small browsers are fine for reading a news article, but they often struggle with games and logins.

Lagos Life is a full game that runs in your browser, so it needs a proper browser like Chrome or Safari to work well. The browsers inside other apps can block the login or fail to save it, as several player guides have pointed out. So the problem is not your account, and it is not your phone. It is simply where the link opened.

The fix is to open the link in your browser

Here is what to do, step by step.

On Android

• Tap the Lagos Life link in WhatsApp
• When the page opens, tap the three dots at the top right corner
• Choose Open in Chrome or Open in browser
• Log in again in Chrome

On iPhone

• Tap the link in WhatsApp
• Look for the Safari icon or the share button at the bottom or top of the page
• Choose Open in Safari
• Log in again in Safari

If you cannot find those options, there is an even simpler way. Press and hold the link in WhatsApp, tap Copy, then open Chrome or Safari yourself and paste the link into the address bar.

Make sure you are using the correct link

Because the game is so popular, fake links are going around. Some lead to pages that try to steal your login, and some push you to download an app. Lagos Life is a browser game, and it does not have an app on the Play Store or App Store.

The game loads at lagoslife.app. If a link someone sends you looks different or asks you to download something, do not use it. We cover more of these tricks in our guide on Lagos Life scams to watch out for.

Add Lagos Life to your home screen

Once the game is open in Chrome or Safari, save yourself this headache for good by adding it to your home screen. It then sits on your phone like an app, and you never need to hunt for the link in your WhatsApp chats again.

On Android, tap the three dots in Chrome and choose Add to Home screen. On iPhone, tap the share button in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen. Our guide on how to play Lagos Life on your phone walks through this in more detail.

Still not loading?

If the game still will not open after you switch browsers, the problem may be on the game's side. With hundreds of thousands of people playing at once, the servers sometimes slow down or go offline for a short time. Check our guide on what to do when Lagos Life is down or not loading.

Sharing the link with your friends

If you are the one sending the link to friends, help them out. When you share it on WhatsApp, add a short note telling them to open it in Chrome or Safari. That one line saves them the confusion and gets them into the game faster.

And if you want to bring a lot of friends into the game at once, posting the link on your WhatsApp status works far better than sending it one chat at a time. The more people who have your number saved, the more people see it. If your status views are low, WassapViews helps you grow them for free by swapping contacts daily with other WhatsApp users, often 100 to 300 new contacts a day. More saved contacts means more people see your invite, your game moments and anything else you share.

Quick recap

If the Lagos Life link is not opening from WhatsApp, the browser inside WhatsApp is the problem. Open the link in Chrome or Safari instead, using the three dots menu or by copying and pasting it. Only use the official link, never download a so called Lagos Life app, and add the game to your home screen so you never face this again.

WassapViews is not connected to Lagos Life or its developer. Game details can change, so check the official game for the latest.
